Day 1: Arusha – Arrival
Members of our staff will meet you on arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transport you to the Lemala Villas, a wonderful place to start your KISS Safari experience.

Day 2: Arusha – Ngorongoro National Reserve
Your KISS Safari experience will officially begin after an early morning breakfast at the Villas. Your tour guide will meet you and drive your party to your first destination, the Ngorongoro Crater. Along the drive to the crater, you will have ample opportunity to view animals across the vast Serengeti plains, as well as the option to visit the archaeological marvel of Olduvai Gorge, the discovery site of some of the earliest human remains where the first early human species lived approximately 1.9 million years ago.
Enjoy a prepared picnic lunch while en route. Your Tanzania safari continues with an afternoon game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, one of nature’s wonders. Its collapsed volcanic crater is 12 miles in diameter and 600 meters deep. The fertile soil and lake attract a huge range of wildlife, and you’ll seek to discover them amongst the crater’s floor forests, grasses, and plains.
Your day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at Oldeani Mountain Lodge.

Days 3 and 4:
Ngorongoro National Reserve
Your party will awake early and after breakfast depart the lodge with picnic lunch boxes in hand for half-days of animal viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater. As you descend down the steep walls of the caldera into a paradise of woodland and sand lakes you will find abundant wildlife. Animals of interest that could be seen along the way are gazelle, buffalo, elephants, and wildebeest, as well as big cats, particularly the black maned lions, leopards, and hyenas. A multitude of birds including flamingos are sighted regularly in this area. As beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro Crater has been called “The Garden of Eden” and has been referred to as the “eighth wonder of the world.”
Your days will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at Oldeani Mountain Lodge.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Serengeti
Your KISS Safari continues after an early morning breakfast with a scenic drive north through the highlands to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Your party will arrive at the Serengeti Bushtop Camp in the central Serengeti in time for lunch allowing for all to unwind and relax. The Serengeti Bushtop Camp is an oasis of 5-star luxury for serious safari seekers within one of the world’s most magical settings.
In the afternoon your Tanzania KISS Safari continues. Your party will board your safari vehicle for a game drive exploring the open plains in search of abundant wildlife in the world-famous Serengeti National Park.

Days 6 and 7:
Serengeti National Park
Your KISS Safari begins at sunrise with (2) full days spent gaining a whole new perspective of the Serengeti. Your KISS guide will be sure to remind you to bring cameras. These drives will allow your party ample opportunity to shoot those “National Geographic” type pictures that you will cherish forever. Your KISS Safari Guide will be on a mission to seek out the big cats, rhino, buffalo, and giraffe that inhabit the vast open plains of this huge park. The sheer scale and seemingly endless horizon in this part of Africa will leave you spellbound. KISS game drives will cover the varied habitats and ecosystem of the Serengeti. Your Tanzania safari day will end on one (1) of the days with champagne under a lone acacia tree surrounded by vast savannah grasslands. On the other day, we suggest taking time for an optional hot-air balloon safari to get an eagle-eye view of the magnificent wilderness and wildlife of the Serengeti.
Overnight Stays at Serengeti Bushtop Camp
Day 8: Serengeti to Lake Manyara
Your KISS Safari continues shortly after breakfast when your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara. On that ride, your party will enjoy the first glimpses of Tanzania’s villages, as well as coffee, maize, and banana plantations along the way.
You will arrive in time for lunch at the Manyara Tree Lodge, which is located high on the edge of the Great African Rift Valley. This comfortable small lodge has stunning views over Lake Manyara with tented rooms and a bar with panoramic views. After lunch, your KISS Safari will enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home to hippos, elephants, flamingos, plains game, and the famous tree-climbing lions. The landscape is a mix of dense forest, small open plains and lush waterside grasses, which is a feast for herbivores such as buffalo. Tonight there’ll be a welcome dinner for you and your group to enjoy.

Day 9: Lake Manyara
Your Tanzania vacation continues with both morning and afternoon game drives throughout Lake Manyara National Park, well known for tree-climbing lions plus the soda ash lake and its flamingos. The scenery is breathtaking! Said by Ernest Hemingway to be the “loveliest part of Africa.”

Day 10: Lake Manyara to Arusha (Departure)
After a quick breakfast you will check out of the lodge and be greeted by your KISS guide and depart for your return to Arusha (approx. journey time: 3 hours) for lunch at the Arusha Serena Hotel, Resort & Spa. After lunch, depending on when your flight is scheduled, you will either be offered downtime to relax and freshen up at a local day hotel or you will be driven to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
